Tracey Halvorsen is a consultant, designer, painter, author, and speaker. Her background in visual art and computer-based technology and her hands-on style of leadership has helped Fastspot consistently create award-winning and industry recognized websites, applications and marketing campaigns.
Tracey has been a speaker and presenter at numerous industry events and conferences. Her speaking career started with the groundbreaking premiere of the interactive project "Memoire" at NYC's 2001 Flash Forward conference, which went on to win the coveted Flash Film Festival award in Amsterdam. She was a panelist on one of 2010 SXSW’s most talked about presentations entitled, “We F*cked Up. Now What? Exploring Failure with Happy Cog and Friends” and spoke at the 2010 NYC Case Summit for Advancement Leaders.
Halvorsen, known for her innovative thinking and creative problem solving, is never short on opinions or ways to make things better, and she shares these observations in her blog, Think Design Interact. She is also currently an active board member with the Greater Baltimore Tech Council, seeking to enhance Baltimore's national visibility and attraction as a technology and cultural hub.
Tracey keeps her focus on big-picture trends and how business is evolving and transforming within the interactive marketing arena. She ensures Fastspot engages with the "right" clients and works to inspire her team and colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
A native of Bethesda, Maryland, Tracey earned a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art. She also spent time studying painting and sculpture in Lacoste, France, but her French is limited to "I'd like a beer, please."

As one of Fastspot's senior developers and software engineers, Tim oversees Fastspot's award-winning content management system, BigTree. Tim has more than fourteen years of technology development experience for a range of high- profile companies and clients.
At Fastspot, Tim has conceived and developed a wide range of Websites and applications. He is skilled in programming languages and platforms including PHP, SQL, MySQL, JavaScript, VB6, VB.Net, ASP, ColdFusion, C, Objective-C, HTML / XHTML / XML and CSS. His programming career began during the field’s early emergence, starting with developing websites in HTML and then moving on to programming Texas Instruments calculators, 16 years ago. Tim progressed to learning Z80 assembly after TI-BASIC and then PHP, SQL and JavaScript. He developed and maintained an early TI development site, TI-News, sharing programming knowledge with the fast evolving community centered around TI devices. Tim also became skilled in VB6 and .Net and developed custom side scrolling games similar to the Mario-type games popular at the time. He combined these skill sets with ASP to develop eLister Pro, a software package allowing users to list and track their eBay auctions along with invoicing their clients and tracking profits in the same familiar eBay-like environment.
Tim joined Fastspot in 2007 and immediately began advancing the core foundation of BigTree CMS. He has been the lead BigTree engineer since 2007, as well as creating the popular web commenting program, Denote. Tim also provides support to client projects which require advanced programming solutions. Tim’s hands on experience and direct interaction with Fastspot’s client base ensures his big picture goals for BigTree and other applications and software products are grounded in user requirements and emerging industry trends. He is a proponent of the open source community and ideals, and is a frequent contributor to the BigTree developer forums and evolving documentation and change logs.

Kim manages all aspects of a project, from inception to launch to long-term support and maintenance. She draws on organizational and workflow strategies that she developed while working in the mortgage industry; she also applies her extensive experience in sales and marketing to her work. She's skillfully shepherded such projects as Woodberry Kitchen, HistoryMiami, and the Walters Art Museum's Works of Art site. Her attention to detail and grasp of usability empower her to make sure that Fastspot's projects evolve on schedule and within scope, as well as achieve the high level of quality that Fastspot is known for delivering.
A native of Ohio, Kim played basketball for much of her life, including at Ashland University, where she earned a BA in communications and business. In her work at Fastspot, she's a true team player, always willing to share knowledge and expertise.

Calea possesses a fluent knowledge of multiple visual languages: information graphics, photography, identity, print, book and experience design. Her command of color, typography, and information organization is refreshingly original yet accessible and functional. Calea establishes the visual tone of interactive projects through design comps, visual explorations, and art production. In addition to graphic design, she also has a strong interest in photography and spent a semester studying in Paris. Calea is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design.
Calea has applied her skills to such projects as Woodberry Kitchen, College of Notre Dame, and Baltimore Fishbowl. Her talent for working collaboratively and delivering just what our clients need is invaluable, as are her sense of humor and easygoing nature.

Matt Hisamoto

Matt Hisamoto grew up on the Bay in Southern Maryland, before moving to North Carolina. He learned 3D modeling/animation in high school, alongside some basic HTML. He attended NC State's College of Design, starting out pursuing animation and then shifting to a focus on Flash and ActionScript programming. Like most seasoned web professionals, he picked up most of his real-world web skills working on the side—mastering CSS in a summer redesigning the NCSU lacrosse team website. An internship and a job later, Matt was designing and building websites, games and applications in Flash, with PHP and MySQL, while also continuing to hone his skills in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Matt spent two years at McKinney, an ad agency in Durham, where he worked on the acclaimed interactive piece "SPENT," the startup Dognition, and picked up some Ruby on Rails skills while he was at it.
Matt is a developer at Fastspot, but his focus doesn't begin and end with code. Matt brings a high level of skill in user experience design to everything he builds, and his combined appreciation for code and design made him an instant perfect fit for Fastspot. Matt is passionate about how things work, and ensuring things are done the best way possible. A craftsman at heart, he is always a champion of the user experience and the quality of the build when building interactive projects at Fastspot.

He played lacrosse in high school and college, and hockey recreationally.
Matt has always had a huge affinity for Maryland, and he's thrilled to be back in his home state.
He's never left the country, but this will change soon!

Amy Goldberg, a co-founder of Fastspot, is a gifted designer, visual artist, organizer, and solutions provider. She has the ability to combine traditional graphic design awareness and new media technologies with classic, fine art sensibilities and applies this to all of our clients’ projects.
A native of Ohio and a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in photography, Amy was originally drawn to more traditional art forms, especially black and white photography, until she discovered her natural programming, problem-solving, and project management abilities. She flexes those muscles every day, overseeing all of Fastspot's undertakings, from supervising information architecture development to budget development to resource allocation for Fastspot's projects.
Amy works to continuously drive Fastspot forward, ensuring that the agency is always evolving and improving while continuing to nail the basics: making beautiful things that function effortlessly.

April Osmanof

A native of Florida, April moved to Baltimore in 1998 and earned a BA in sculpture and an MFA in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art. Her studies in sculpture cultivated an interest in the way things are built and function, which has informed her work in graphic design and Web development.
April oversees much of the information architecture work that goes into Fastspot's Website projects, including HistoryMiami, Ziger/Snead, the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and Brooklyn College; she's also worked on design for Brooklyn College, Woodberry Kitchen, and other clients. She is able to seemingly effortlessly create and manage complex architectural schemas. She also produces front-end elements for many projects, ensuring that sites are accessible and meet contemporary Web standards. In addition, she's the agency Search Engine Optimization expert.
April has contributed to Graphic Design: The New Basics, Indie Publishing: How to Publish Your Own Book, and Urbanite magazine. She also writes about user experience on Fastspot's blog, www.thinkdesigninteract.com. When she's not cooking up yummy vegetarian food for lunch, she can be found making the occasional Justin Bieber tribute video.

Monica joined the Fastspot team in September 2012 to provide additional project management support that was needed due to the rapidly growing client list within the Fastspot portfolio. Coming from a strong project management background in media planning and marketing, Monica provides client assistance for any Fastspot project that needs additional hands on support. She is currently supporting the new gb.tc (Greater Baltimore Technology Council) website, managing a new initiative for ILEX's Calgon brands, and is looking forward to adding to her Fastspot repertoire. Always up for a challenge, she is anxious to step up and jump in head first on any new project, thanks to an energetic thirst for knowledge and immersion in the interactive community.
Monica is a graduate of Fairfield University with a BA degree in Communication, and holds a Fashion Design Certificate from Parson's New School of Design. After spending several years in New York, Monica returned to her hometown of Baltimore and now spends much of her free time on a start up custom clothing design business.

Ben, a senior developer at Fastspot, posses a strong appreciation for the front end details that provide the foundation for a positive user experience. His expertise for programming is evident is his ability to move seamlessly from complex development solutions to delicate CSS adjustments. Ben is highly skilled in PHP, HTML / XHTML / XML, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript, Java, Processing and Objective C.
Ben was recently honored by placing sixth in the 2011 CSSOFF Competition, an international competition entered by thousands of highly recognized front end developers to test their expertise working with CSS.
Ben implements BigTree’s user interface changes, and also assists with development and code refinement. He is also one of Fastspot’s lead developers on BigTree CMS integration with client projects, developing custom modules and templates and ensuring front end integrity. He has contributed to developing custom programming solutions and BigTree CMS installations for clients including DePauw University, HistoryMiami, the Walters Art Museum, Bay State College, Tufts University and several sites for Discovery Communications.
Ben earned a BFA in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art, and is an active contributor to the BigTree user forums.

Hannah has a strong background in design and a belief in creating public resources to promote accessibility and user experience.
Hannah works fluidly across illustration, graphic design, and web. She believes in the importance of implementing each of these skills to create effective communicative solutions and strong aesthetic identity. Originally from Colorado, she is currently attending the Maryland Institute College of Art, working towards her BFA in graphic design. She also has a strong interest in art history and creating tools for improving education through design.
When not handling a full class schedule, Hannah finds time to teach kindergarten art, as well as work on a community improvement project with the Baltimore Design School helping engage students with the city they live in.

Curt Kotula

As Fastspot's Art & Technology Director, Curt provides the visual and technical direction for all of the agency's projects and ensures a collaborative execution of the interaction design process. He also spearheads the evolution of Fastspot's internal applications. Curt's ability to code beautiful experiences is evident in such designs as the Walters Works of Art Collections Module and the Websites for Ziger/Snead architects and HistoryMiami, as well as virtual tours for Bucknell University and Dickinson College. He is also responsible for the design of Fastspot's Webby award-winning word game app, Jambalaya.
Prior to joining Fastspot, Curt was a senior designer and developer for Alexander and Tom, Bionic Box, and Grafik Marketing Communications. He has a BFA in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art, where he has been a visiting artist in the MFA in graphic design program and taught undergraduate classes on Web design.
Curt is also the agency breakfast connoisseur, making our stomachs growl regularly with tales of the pancakes, burritos, and other savory snacks he cooks up at home.

Stacy LaHam

Stacy has instituted many of the internal systems that keep Fastspot efficient. As one of our project managers, Stacy adeptly facilitates communication between Fastspot and such clients as the International Spy Museum, Notre Dame of Maryland University, the Chrysler Museum of Art, and the American Beverage Association, ensuring that clients' needs are attended to fully and promptly. Her familiarity with programming and design standards also inform her project management, ensuring that clients' problems are solved quickly and knowledgeably.
A graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in ceramics, Stacy has also worked as a program assistant at Maryland Citizens for the Arts, a statewide nonprofit arts advocacy group, and as a web content editor for the Baltimore Greater Cultural Alliance's FunGuide.
Stacy is one of Fastspot's resident "foodies," making her the first person to go to when looking for a great meal in Baltimore.

John "Yianni" Mathioudakis

Yianni comes from a family of restaurateurs, but he was always drawn more to art and design. He earned a BFA in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art. At Fastspot, he specializes in concept development, interface design, and content visualization. Depending on the project, he draws on his design, typography, motion graphics, photography, illustration, and/or usability skills. Yianni has contributed to the design of Dickinson College, Woodberry Kitchen, and the product minisites for the American Beverage Association. His photography and video editing work can currently be seen on Bay State College's new Website and digital viewbook.
Yianni is also a musician; with his two brothers, he runs 3 Sons Production, which creates original music and music videos. He can usually be found with headphones on, tapping his foot to some new tunes.
Bon Champion is a recent graduate from Maryland Institute College of Art. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Bon started out at MICA as a photography major but quickly realized his interest in, and natural ability in, interactive design and development.
Bon has become an adept programmer working at Fastspot, highly skilled in CMS implementations and swiftly becoming a master of the responsive web template. He’s proven to be an asset both in the office and on the kickball field, where his last name instills fear in the competition. Bon is skilled as an HTML and CSS front end developer and is also developing custom modules and templates for BigTree projects utilizing his skill set within PHP and MySQL.
