Introduction

Fastspot is an award-winning interactive agency, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Our team is dedicated to working collaboratively with our clients and partners in order to deliver  outstanding Website and marketing experiences.

We focus on all aspects of the interactive process, from strategy to focus group sessions, from information architecture to fully produced Websites and integration with content management system (CMS) solutions.

Fastspot also specializes in delivering integrated campaigns which interweave digital marketing with social media, search engine optimization, blogging, viral communication methods, email marketing and mobile/iPhone solutions.

Tracey has extensive experience in the interactive industries. Her background in visual art and computer-based technology and her hands-on style of leadership has helped Fastspot consistently create award-winning and industry recognized new media communications and marketing campaigns.

Tracey has presented a session entitled “Creativity-Charged Action Script” at the Flash Forward 2001 conference in New York City where the best and brightest Flash designers and producers share their projects with over 2,000 conference attendees.  Tracey co-chaired the ADDY awards in Baltimore and presented a session at the .edu Web Conference entitled “Visual Talk for Technology Thinkers”. Tracey was recently honored by SmartCEO magazine with a Brava! Women Business Achievement Award and she will be a panel participant at the 2010 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. She is also an associate member of the IADAS (International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences) and is one of the judges for the 2010 Webby Awards.

Tracey has worked closely with clients including the American Beverage Association, Under Armour, Bucknell University, Dickinson College and the International Dairy Foods Association. Tracey also has a strong commitment to assisting Fastspot’s non-profit clients including The Family Tree, Operation Warm, the Baker Artist Awards and the Maryland Humanities Council. Tracey has a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and a MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art.

Amber has worked as a designer and programmer for over seven years in a diverse range of environments, producing quality work for clients including Catholic Relief Services, National Aquarium in Baltimore, The Hippodrome Foundation, Mercy Hospital, Johns Hopkins University, Black & Decker and Loyola College.  Amber brings both design and production skills to Fastspot, implementing CSS solutions for our scalable projects and ensuring future expandability and easy editing, while imparting her sophisticated and elegant design styles to every Fastspot project.  Since joining Fastspot, Amber has designed and programmed a wide variety of Web and interactive projects for clients including Russell & Mackenna, the American Beverage Association and Maryland Humanities Council.

Tim joined Fastspot after working as the senior Web developer for Starlab, as well as a software developer targeting eBay consignment businesses.  Tim has over 10 years of technology development experience for a range of high profile companies and clients.  His expertise ranges from PHP/MySQL to XML/AJAX to mobile interface development.  Tim’s strict attention to detail and testing brings a level of expertise to all of Fastspot’s back end development.  Tim is also an avid gamer and computer "user", keeping him focused in the realm of "usability" as the ultimate goal for any application or Website development.

Zach joins Fastspot after 4 years working as an IT Manager and Systems Engineer in the automotive industry.  Zach brings an expert knowledge of Web Development skills, including XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, Ruby on Rails, PHP, XML, MySQL and jQuery.  Zach has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware in Computer Science with a minor in Philosophy.

Stacy joins Fastspot after moving on from her role as Program Assistant to Maryland Citizens for the Arts (MCA), a statewide non-profit arts advocacy group. Prior to MCA, Stacy worked as the Web Content Editor for the Baltimore Greater Cultural Alliance's FunGuide.  Past clients include National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), Maryland State Arts Council, Maryland General Assembly and Governor's Office and BACVA.  Stacy brings with her a strict attention to detail, organization and schedules as she facilitates project management and communication between Fastspot and our clients.  Stacy is a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Ceramics.

Amy Goldberg, a co-founder of Fastspot, is a gifted designer, visual artist, organizer and solutions provider.  She has the ability to combine traditional graphic design awareness and new media technologies with classic, fine art sensibilities and applies this to all of our clients’ projects.  Amy oversees the "big picture" in all of Fastspot's undertakings, keeping the visual focus within an organizational perspective.  She also supervises the information architecture development, budget development and resource allocation for many of Fastspot's projects.  Amy has a BFA in Photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art.  Past clients include Advertising.com, Woolrich, Inc., 180s and AOL.

Curt Kotula is a gifted and respected new media designer and programmer, creating interactive projects for clients including Tommy Hilfiger, Polk Audio and The Museum of Jewish Heritage.  Curt is regarded as one of the area’s most talented designers and multimedia developers.  Prior to joining Fastspot, Curt worked as a senior designer/developer, working on a wide range of projects, for firms including Alexander and Tom, Bionic Box, and Grafik Marketing Communications Inc.  Curt has a BFA in Graphic Design from Maryland Institute College of Art and currently teaches advanced interactive courses at MICA.

John is a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art with a B.A. in Design.  He is also a musician, film director and producer.  John brings to Fastspot his experience in design, typography, motion graphics, illustration and usability.  His studies in design, music and popular culture inform his contributions to concept development, interface design and content visualization.  John is also co-founder of 3 Sons Productions, a Baltimore music production company focused on the creation of original music, music videos and albums.

In the past year, she has been a contributor for Urbanite Magazine, Graphic Design: The New Basics, and the forthcoming book Indie Publishing: How to Publish Your Own Book.

Calea graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design. Her freelance work includes a range of projects for 3six0 Architects, Three Sisters Cafe, Providence Pictures, Crestwood Advisors and Fidelity Investments. In addition to graphic design, she also has a strong interest in photography, and spent a semester studying in Paris. As a new member to Fastspot, she brings her unique design sensibility to the realm of interactive design.

Kim Koenig joins Fastspot as a project manager, bringing years of organizational and workflow strategies with her from the mortgage industry.  Kim also has extensive experience in marketing and sales, and manages all aspects of a project, from inception to launch to long-term support and maintenance.  Kim's attention to detail and her grasp of usability empower her to see Fastspot's projects evolve on schedule and within scope, while achieving the high level of quality Fastspot is recognized for delivering.
