Fastspot Announces Release of Denote Application for Posting Notes to Live Websites

Baltimore, MD (December 2, 2009)— Fastspot, an interactive design agency, announced the release of their newest application, Denote. Denote is a sleek, easy-to-use, browser-based tool that allows users to post comments directly to live Websites.  It works on any Website and in any contemporary browser and requires no downloads or software installations.

Fastspot Senior Programmer, Tim Buckingham, developed Denote with inspiration from Apple's Stickies application and a simple concept—digital mark-up for Web pages. As a green-conscious company, Fastspot was on board to eliminate the need for excess paper waste from printed pages.

Denote simplifies the lives of clients, project managers, and design teams alike by allowing users to "stick" comments directly to pages of a site about content or copy edits, bugs, and broken links, eliminating the need for annotated print-outs or confusing phone calls to clarify where changes are needed.

Users can attach files in a variety of formats to their notes, assign them to the appropriate group member, and mark them as complete when a task is finished.  Denote also facilitates quick workflow and ease of communication by sending automated email alerts when an item is assigned, replied to, or completed.

Denise Ryan of Outloud, LLC and her team use Denote on a daily basis to connect with Fastspot's designers. "Our company used to spin wheels and spend hours printing pages, writing in edits, scanning the documents, creating PDFs and emailing the marked-up pages—just to update one page," said Ryan. "Now, we simply open up a Web page that needs editing, log into our Denote account and leave an update or edit in the exact spot in which it is needed. It's much simpler than sending an email with a link, and also far more precise."

Denote is available at http://www.denoteapp.com/, where interested parties can sign up for a free Beta trial of the application.
