Fastspot Creative Director Explores Failures for SXSW Panel
Baltimore, MD (March 11, 2010)—Fastspot is proud to announce that the 2010 South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival will feature a panel discussion co-presented by Creative Director and Principal, Tracey Halvorsen.
Halvorsen will be participating in the panel “We F*cked Up: Happy Cog and Friends, Exploring Failures, Together” with Greg Hoy (President, Happy Cog East), Greg Storey (President, Happy Cog West), Kevin Hoffman (User Experience Director, Happy Cog East), and Wil Reynolds (Founder, SEER Interactive) during this year’s event.
The panel, taking place Saturday, March 13, will recount past project failures and explore the opportunities they present for growth and change as professionals and people. In preparation for the discussion, Halvorsen has written a four-part series of blog posts dissecting her views on failure, which can be found at http://www.traceyhalvorsen.com/.
“I believe that no one gets better without failure. It’s as necessary to success as night is to day,” writes Halvorsen. “Learning to avoid failure is natural. How you experience it and deal with it can be monumental to your success.”
