Bucknell University Virtual Tour Named Finalist in 2010 South By Southwest Web Awards

Fastspot is pleased to announce that Bucknell University's Virtual Tour has been honored as a finalist in the 13th Annual South By Southwest (SXSW) Web Awards in the Educational Resource category. The virtual tour, designed and developed by Fastspot and launched in late March 2009, is one of five finalists in the category.
"It is an honor to have our work nominated alongside other innovative online work being created for companies including HBO, The Andy Warhol Foundation, Coca-Cola, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Hulu," remarked Tracey Halvorsen, Principal and Creative Director at Fastspot.
The SXSW Interactive Festival is a five-day event featuring keynote presentations, panel sessions, book readings, networking events hosted by industry leaders, and special programs showcasing the best new Websites, video games, and startup ideas the community has to offer. The 2010 Interactive Festival is being held March 12-16 in Austin, Texas.
Fastspot's Tracey Halvorsen will also be co-presenting the panel “We F*cked Up: Happy Cog and Friends, Exploring Failures, Together” with Greg Hoy (President, Happy Cog East), Greg Storey (President, Happy Cog West), Kevin Hoffman (User Experience Director, Happy Cog East), and Wil Reynolds (Founder, SEER Interactive). The panel, taking place Saturday, March 13, will recount past project failures and explore the opportunities they present for growth and change as professionals and people.
Web Award winners will be announced at the SXSW Interactive Web Awards Ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, March 14. Voting is now open for The People's Choice Award at http://sxsw.com/peoples-choice/, where the online public can vote for their favorite finalist site. The award goes to the site with the most votes from the Web community.
