Fastspot Honored with Webby Award Win


Fastspot is pleased to announce that their Jambalaya word game app has won the Games - Tablet and Other Devices category in the 15th Annual Webby Awards. In the past five years, Fastspot has received five Webby Official Nominations and five Official Honoree nods; this is Fastspot's third Webby win.

In 2010, Fastspot designed and produced Jambalaya, a fast-paced word game, for the iPad and iPhone. The game showcases lush design combined with addictive, multi-touch gameplay. Jambalaya has since been revamped in version 2.0 to allow for rotating bonuses, higher scoring, and Apple Game Center integration. Version 2.1 was recently released.

Award recipients will be honored at the Webby Awards celebration on June 13, 2011, at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. A full list of both Webby Awards and People's Voice Winners can be found at

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, the Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Websites, online film and video, mobile and apps, and interactive advertising and media. With nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and over 60 countries worldwide, the competition for the 15th Annual Webby Awards was the biggest in Webby history.

Webby Award winners were chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a 750-person judging academy whose members include Martha Stewart, David Bowie, Huffington Post Media Group President Arianna Huffington, Internet co-creator Vinton Cerf, and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone. Past Webby winners include iTunes, Google, NPR, and NASA.
