Fastspot Receives Multiple Accolades in the 2011 eduStyle Awards
07.12.2011
Fastspot is proud to announce that they are a finalist for three 2011 eduStyle Higher-Ed Awards.
For this year's awards, Fastspot is a finalist in both the Best Campus Map or Virtual Tour category and in the Photography category for Brooklyn College's Virtual Tour, which gives students an up-close-and-personal view of the beautiful campus. Fastspot is also a finalist in the Best Use of Interactive Multimedia or Video category for the Be Like Mike Alumni Association Campaign for Johns Hopkins University, an interactive game and microsite designed to increase membership in the alumni association.
This is the second year in a row that Fastspot has been honored by the eduStyle Awards. Last year, Fastspot won two People’s Choice Awards for the University of Puget Sound Website, which was also a finalist in the Most Innovative category.
Fastspot is very proud to be among the finalists for these prestigious awards, which celebrate the most innovative and exciting developments in higher-education Web development. A jury of Web professionals will choose the winners, which will be announced on August 2 in San Antonio, Texas, during the eduWeb Conference. Top-level awards will be given for best overall Website, best redesign, and most innovative Website, as well as for information architecture and video, blogging, special projects, and sub-sites.
A judged award and a People's Choice award will be given in each of the nineteen categories. As a finalist, Fastspot is also eligible to win a People’s Choice award, which is voted on by the public. Voting is open until July 15. Fastspot’s supporters can cast their votes at www.edustyle.net.
About the eduStyle Awards
Since 2008, the eduStyle Awards have been celebrating the best in higher-ed Web design. The awards are administered by eduStyle, a Web design gallery that showcases outstanding higher-education Websites and aims to help higher-ed Web professionals learn from and be inspired by the work of their peers. The awards are supported by sponsors including Fastspot’s BigTree CMS, which is the sponsor of this year’s Best Home Page category.
