Parks & People's New Website Launches
01.22.2010
Fastspot recently launched a new site for the Parks & People Foundation, a Baltimore-centric, community-minded, non-profit organization.
Designed by Fastspot and running on their content management system, BigTree, the site provides a new, friendly, content-rich site for the Parks and People staff and community.
Parks & People Foundation, founded in 1984, teamed up with Fastspot in 2009 in order to shift their focus to interactive marketing and community development. The two organizations were a good fit right from the start. Parks & People's mission to improve the quality of life for Baltimore's neighborhoods and residents and Fastspot's long history of working with non-profits and love for Baltimore made for a successful partnership.
Parks & People focuses on improving the environmental quality of Baltimore's communities, along with creating innovative ideas for the improvement of social and physical conditions. Parks & People uses greening activities to help build strong sustainable networks within communities. Youth programs are also a big part of the non-profit's repertoire, providing enriching and community building activities for Baltimore residents of a variety of ages.
Kyle A. DeVaul, Parks & People's Development and Promotions Coordinator, had this to say about the relationship: "Fastspot has moved Parks & People into the 21st century by creating a Website that accurately, thoughtfully, and beautifully showcases the important work we do. The site is quickly becoming what we always envisioned: a vibrant and accessible resource for the entire city. On top of all that, the CMS is a breeze to use, making it easy for even a novice to update or add content at a moment’s notice. A+ all around."
