For Tufts University's new admissions magazine, Fastspot and Neustadt Creative Marketing, working as Door No. 2, eliminated the traditional suite of print admissions materials—the visit brochure, the viewbook, the secondary publications. What did we put in its place? An admissions magazine named Jumbo, after the school mascot, that will be produced three times a year and mailed to everyone in the admissions funnel—an enormous savings in cost and headache for the university.
Jumbo has three beautifully designed stories per issue, as well as regular features that convey the Tufts experience, from the daily photo of the latest paint job on the school's Cannon to Tufts Tips, advice from real students about getting the most out of the Tufts experience. Fastspot's BigTree CMS allows for lightning-fast updates to the content, and the development of an archive to save older articles for future enjoyment.
