As Fastspot’s creative director, Curt provides the visual direction for all of the agency’s projects and ensures a collaborative execution of the interactive design process. His involvement with nearly every Fastspot project extends from discovery meetings through the launch of the site, enabling him to ensure that our sites meet the high standards for design that our clients expect. Beyond the immediate design of the site, Curt ensures close interaction between the design team and strategists, project managers, and developers. His commitment to Fastspot’s interdisciplinary approach is one of the things that allows Fastspot to move successfully through a website redesign process.
In addition to his role as creative director, Curt is a designer on many of our projects, directly translating client vision onto the screen. His ability to create beautiful experiences is evident in such designs as Kenyon College, Bucknell University, and Connecticut College. He is also responsible for the design of Fastspot's Webby Award-winning word game, Jambalaya.
He holds a BFA in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art, where he has been a visiting artist in the MFA in graphic design program and taught undergraduate classes on web design and typography for the screen. Curt was among the first employees at Fastspot, and has been an integral part of its growth and success since 2002.
Curt believes in keeping things simple and enjoying the act of creation, whether it's creating a website, making a cup of coffee, refurbishing his historic home, or building a Lego castle with his two sons.
