Fastspot's favorite mane

As Creative Director and one of Fastspot's original employees, Curt has helped to shape our creative methodology ensuring that our design work is practical and elegant. Beginning as a Designer, his two decades at Fastspot position him as one of the team’s most experienced members (as well as the company’s unofficial historian.)

Curt is the type of person that is delighted to find a puzzle left on his desk as a surprise gift. He likes to solve, whether the solution reshapes a department, fixes an interaction, or just makes the refrigerator door stop squeaking. Utility, honesty, and beauty are driving forces behind his approach to providing solutions, and this signature has become part of the hallmark of Fastspot’s work. His dedication to the product, the project, and how it endures is reflected in the numerous awards that he has helped the company garner, including two first place Webby’s, one for People’s Choice and one for Best Website.

In addition to his role as Creative Director, Curt is a designer and strategist on select projects, working hands-on with clients on some of our most innovative projects. He collaborates with and contributes to all teams, to ensure a holistic approach to the way Fastspot builds websites and relationships.

Curt holds a BFA in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art, where he has been a visiting artist in the MFA in Graphic Design program and taught undergraduate classes on web design and typography for the screen. His love of craft and making informs not only his work, but also his personal life where he enjoys renovation, repair, and building Lego sets with his kids.
