Bringing Hamilton up to speed.

Having completed the first website redesign with Hamilton, our team was able to dive right into a thoughtful and honest assessment of our previous work. We revisited the entire web system and realigned on mission, goals, and values to learn how those elements had evolved over the years. This put us in the position to determine what areas of the design system and functionality needed improvement, while saving key features that worked successfully.

Students attend Hamilton to explore their passions, gain new perspectives, and express themselves. The new site captured the spirit and impact of ‘Know Thyself’, a unique Hamilton concept perfect for providing a framework for storytelling. Upon entering the homepage, you were pulled in by hearing what ‘Know Thyself’ meant to students through a unique feature video that also kept accessibility top of mind. The loop video included intuitive, bold yet simple options to pause, play, control the volume.

From the very beginning, Hamilton shared clear goals they had in mind when it came to performance metrics. By keeping this top of mind throughout the project, we were able to follow through on those requests without sacrificing overall quality of site design and media. Part of our process involved testing our work throughout the build in order to ensure that we were keeping an eye on how the site performed at various stages of completion. The end result is a website that ranked well with search engines, performed well, and still delivered captivating content.
